A seawater intake system provides a means of obtaining low oxygenated water for the cooling, process, utility and/or water injection systems to enhance processing efficiency. WebOffshore areas hold enormous potential for energy and mineral resources, including oil and gas, wind and wave power, and marine mineral occurrences. The USGS and partners discover, map and assess how these resources can be harnessed sustainably.
